Our kitchen extension started on Monday 25th June 2018, follow our journey and some of my favourite interior finds along the way…
I always say I love my job and I really do, I may work alone but I meet some lovely people via Instagram and can’t wait to showcase their products in what will be, our wonderful new family room in our magical home 🏠
25th June 2018, our kitchen extension starts…
The walls start to go up already!
Re-claimed bricks found from a few different locations including an old barn used for the build and our exposed internal wall. This is when we can really see my plans and design starting to come together! Very excited times.
Our beautiful re-claimed brick exposed internal wall.
The roof starts to go on…
The main objective, to let as much light in as possible. So my design consists of 3 x sky lights (the largest we could fit), a pain of glass that fills the wall on the left as you look at the extension, bio-fold doors with a gable end glass apex fitted into the pitch roof.
The doors start to get fitted but unfortunately we hit our first problem, the apex has been measured wrong so doesn’t fit! But the company have promised a replacement in 2 weeks. We are keeping everything crossed!
Fortunately the builders can continue and remove the internal walls and back door.

Collaborating with @colourhillkitchens has been invaluable as not only have I learnt a lot about kitchens but have also been spoilt for choice! There’s so much you can do to suit your individual style. We are having a 1909 Corse Green kitchen cupboards with a Dry Rose Pantry and I’m so excited to see it fitted.
